I was very grateful to North Lincolnshire Council for inviting me to talk about my experience of pancreatic cancer at their Quarterly Health Champions Meeting on 4 October. The meeting was hosted by British Steel and it was interesting for me to learn more about the Health Champions Group. My presentation was kindly received and I was grateful to everyone for taking an interest in pancreatic cancer.
It was good to see the great work done by the Council in co-ordinating the Health Champions Group and to see the wide range of topics they cover. Two gentlemen also spoke about Prostate Cancer and as this is a cancer I knew very little about, I was keen to learn more – both presentations were very interesting and informative and I now know a little more about Prostate Cancer and am also aware that there is a local support group for anyone affected.
